Sonica R. Dixon

Sonica Dixon is a labor and employment, and immigration attorney with the ability to take on new practice areas at our firm. Prior to joining the firm, she served as In-House Counsel for a hospital/healthcare facility. She brings over a decade of combined experience conducting workplace investigations in the financial industry, healthcare, higher education, and an international information analytics company.

Dixon takes pride in using her experience from diverse industries to resolve conflicts through litigation, mediation, and settlements. Her experience includes all areas of labor and employment law, ranging from Title VII discrimination, Title IX, sexual harassment/harassment, hostile work environment, and retaliation, to employment litigation. In the area of labor laws, her experience includes arbitration, collective bargaining, unfair labor practice charges, union organizing, labor relations, and responding to charges from the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Dixon also brings experience in employment immigration laws, including non-immigrant and work authorization for F-1 OPT, H-1B, J-1, O-1, and TN visas.

Dixon is active in numerous bar associations, serving on committees, leadership roles, and panels to help legal practitioners increase their knowledge about current trends, changes, and best practices in the law. She is also a Registered Parliamentarian, helping organizations with drafting and revising bylaws, and teaching executive boards and their directors how to plan and run effective meetings according to Robert’s Rules of Order.
